No matter where you are, you can tune in to watch the Type 1 Summit online on Sunday 26 July from 9am (ACST) – all completely free.
When watching from home you can settle in for the full day, or just jump in and out to see the talks you’re most interested in. You’ll be able to ask the presenters questions during the event using our virtual platform, and you can chat with other attendees, too.
You’ll also be able to visit virtual booths to learn about the latest in type 1 diabetes (T1D) devices, services and clinical trials.

How much does Type 1 Summit cost to attend?
The Type 1 Summit is completely free to attend, both online and in person.
However, as Breakthrough T1D is a not-for-profit organisation that funds life-changing T1D research, donations are always welcome.
Who can attend?
Everyone is welcome at the Type 1 Summit! Whether you have T1D yourself, are a parent or carer of a child or teen with it, have a friend or loved one with the condition, are a healthcare provider, or just have an interest in Australian medical research, you’re welcome to come to the online or in-person event.
How do I watch the Type 1 Summit online?
To attend our online event, register using the form below.
After you register, you’ll receive a confirmation email. (If you don’t receive it, please contact us at [email protected] or call 1300 363 126.)
A little closer to the date, you’ll be sent an email with a link to our virtual event platform. You’ll then need to log in and create a password.
On Sunday 26 July, you’ll use that log in and password to access the site and all the sessions.
Will I be able to access the Type 1 Summit later if I can’t watch on the day?
The Type 1 Summit will be recorded and will be available to watch online at any time after the event.
To watch later, you’ll still need to register, then use your email address and password to log in to access the virtual event platform.
